WEDDINGS BY SEAN
The honest emotions, the stories in between,

Keyaki Solemnisation // V + P
Nothing extravagant was needed for V & P’s intimate solemnisation specially reserved for close family and friends. This cross-border relationship that they experienced in their earlier years due to the pandemic brought about many emotions and smiles by everyone witnessing this celebration. And I guess this might be what I love photographing, a celebration that truly preserves the simplicity, intentionality, and authenticity of their special day.
Min Jiang Dempsey wedding // J + W
Asian parents seem quite out of touch with their emotions, or at least verbally. But weddings has revealed to me otherwise. Silent preparation through making sure everything is ready. A look held slightly longer. A smile in the distance. And just watching knowing their child will be alright. They just express love differently, through presence and love that isn’t loud. These moments don’t come often, but when they do, its is a clear reflection of how in touch one is with emotions, just in a different way. There isn’t a second take to these moments, and preserving such moments always has a special place in me.
Singapore Life Church and Artemis Wedding
God, Family, Intentional. If I were to describe this wedding with 3 words, it would most likely be these. The way that God was brought into different segments of the day, from the veiling to the gatecrash to the dinner was so beautiful in its own way. The closeness of their family on display through logistical preparations, silent looks, and prayers. The “uneventful” dinner that ensured quality and intentional interactions that was spent with all their invited guests…
Tien Court Wedding // Y + E
A year ago, E reached out for help with his proposal, and shortly after approached me to photograph their wedding. To be honest, that message caught me by surprise as we never had a proper conversation before the proposal. And since then, seeing Y&E transform from reserved individuals during the proposal into total goofballs on their wedding day made this entire process very memorable.
Marriott Tang Plaza Wedding / R + G
Emotions. Words. Love. I couldn't really find these 3 things together in just about most Asian parents in everyday life, let alone on their wedding day. R & J's showed me just that, love through small gestures, tears held back, quick glances in between moments, and hands held just for an extra second longer…
Altro Zafferano Wedding // H + J
From a frantic emergency search for wedding vendors, to setting up their newly renovated flat just a day before the wedding, I couldn’t imagine how H + J must have felt during the past couple of months. But the smiles on their faces really showed me just how relieved they were to be celebrating this special day with their close family and friends…
