I found Bottled Groove on Instagram and I knew right then and there that they were the right photographer for us. Their style instantly spoke to me, and choosing them was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding.
From the very first chat, I just knew we had to enagage them for our special day. It was a straightforward approach and that first call with Eugene was quite helpful. I also knew my husband trusted my judgement as I was the one who first knew about them.
We had the absolute privilege of working with Dexter, who has this rare gift of making everyone feel at ease. He’s fun, bubbly, and so chill! He made my husband and I feel completely comfortable, and even our guests and his co-vendors couldn’t stop saying how great he was to be around (shoutout to Cloudninestories and Ordinary Us!). Behind all that warmth is a true professional with an incredible eye for capturing the little moments that matter most.
Just when I thought the day couldn’t feel more special, he surprised us with sneak peeks the very next day. I was crying happy tears all over again, reliving the joy and magic of our wedding day. It was so unexpected and I immediately shared the “sneaks” with my family.
We’re so grateful to Dexter for giving us memories we’ll treasure forever. Thank you and we appreciate you!

The only reason we didn’t write this review immediately after our wedding was because we wanted to wait until Eugene released the photos—to share his best work here, and even then we’d barely be doing him justice.
Eugene is the perfect wedding photographer anyone could ask for. He strikes a fine balance between accurately capturing the day’s candid moments and creating the beautiful “posed” shots every couple hopes for. That’s no small task—anyone who has planned a wedding knows how much preparation and staging usually go into achieving those perfect photos.
The great news is, even though we didn’t plan ours in detail, it turned out to be perfect. Eugene somehow took on the incredibly difficult task of capturing every single moment - right down to the little imperfections that made the day so real and so beautiful.
Photos are meant to be windows into the past, and Eugene has given us the gift of vividly reliving our wedding day through his lens.

Words can't really describe our experience having Eugene as our AD photographer but I'll try my best.
We first met Eugene doing what he does best at a friend's wedding 2 years ago, and we knew right there and then that he was the "one". And boy, were we not disappointed.
As a budding photographer myself, I know how hard it takes for a photographer to put themselves into one of the most important days of a couple's lives and make them feel comfortable. And Eugene made us feel like we knew him for decades, making the whole experience just that much better. It wasn't a "look and smile" kind of day, but more like "what made you guys fall in love" leading to natural laughter as we reminisce about what led us up to our wedding.
Do NOT get Eugene if you want boring, overexposed, typical wedding photographs. We managed to get plenty of behind the scenes pictures where Eugene does his best work, which we would have otherwise missed.
One tip I would give to future couples is to hire a roving photographer for an AD shoot for the typical table pictures, as having Eugene do table shoots is akin to a crime.

Levin is such a wonderful photographer — he guided us effortlessly throughout the day and made us feel so relaxed and at ease as the two of us are quite camera shy and awkward. We didn’t have to worry about a thing, and the photos turned out absolutely beautiful! Highly recommend the team for their warmth and professionalism!! The sneak peaks churned out so great and exceeded all our expectations.
A small tip for future couples — book them early, especially during peak wedding seasons! We made our booking nearly 10 months in advance, and it was definitely the right call. Every photographer on the team delivers such great quality, and even my husband said this was one of our best vendor choices! Thank you, team, for making everything so smooth and memorable sharing some pics from the sneak peak too for anyone’s considering the team!

We booked Eugene for our pre-wedding shoot and our only regret was that he wasn't available for our wedding day!
From the start, he was warm, friendly and hands-on. Eugene took time to learn our story so he knew what to look for and what to avoid. The whole morning flowed, no waiting around, no awkward pauses , and he made us feel comfortable even in full wedding outfits under the heat.
Eugene's eye for framing is fantastic. Direction was light but precise: a quick note to smooth a stray hair or adjust a chin and he'd be shooting again. Eugene becomes a real magician in the in-between moments, or when there's a little chaos in the mix, he really captured our natural expressions and what we're like when we're alone together.
If you like heavy staging, know that Eugene's default is gentle guidance with honest moments; if you prefer documentary just enough direction to look your best, he's perfect.
TL;DR if you're looking for an amazing documentary-style photographer, you can stop looking now. Eugene is it!

Dexter captured those quiet moments beautifully and the moments we didn’t get to witness. Our wedding day went by in a flash but Dexter’s photos have captured a moment in time we will never get back but can relive over and over again by looking at the photos.

Eugene was more than just a photographer for us on our pre-wedding shoot and wedding day itself. He was like an old friend, making sure we were comfortable and kept us engaged at all times. He is so free spirited and accommodating to us, Understood our vibes and style and very willing to lean into what we wanted.
And yet, he manages to strike the perfect balance of trying new and quirky things while also keeping in line with some traditions. During the chaotic nature of the wedding, he was also everything everywhere all at once. For real the number of different angles and shots from one guy is mind blowing.

Eugene's photographs look natural and uncontrived. For the few posed shots, he is experienced in guiding his subjects to make sure poses look natural, and asks a thoughtful question just before to spark a natural facial expression.
He was most masterful in shooting unobtrusively during our vows and ceremony, turning the most private and personal moments into the most beautiful memories. His experience shows in his ability to shoot reflexively in fleeting moments and capture just the right split second moment into beautifully framed photographs.

I had never been to Singapore before our planned proposal, so I really put all my trust in Eugene and he did not disappoint. His knowledge of the area and expertise in photography really shone through as he provided valuable advice on the best spots within the Raffles hotel and the ideal time of day for capturing the perfect light. He took the time to understand my vision and made thoughtful suggestions that enhanced every element of the experience.
We were blown away by the final images. We look at them almost every day and can't stop smiling (and honestly tearing up a bit too). Having Eugene as our photographer was one of the best decisions we made for our wedding! We’ve known Eugene for awhile because he shot for my sister’s wedding. Thereafter, we recommended him to a few of our different friends looking for photographers, and we were so excited to finally have him for our own!
Eugene feels a lot more like a familiar friend partaking in the day’s activities. He lets the day run by, and he stands supportively aside to capture the moments as they come.
This was what we loved - because rather than orchestrating the moments for pictures, he let the moments play out, and then froze them in time with his pictures. We love that about him!

On the wedding day itself, he effortlessly directs shots & poses during appropriate moments, and blends in to the background like a ninja when we were having moments with others/ourselves. And this was what really impressed us - in the process of his ninja-ing, he was somehow able to capture a lot of the little moments that were precious to us, that were HAPPENING CONCURRENTLY. That not only takes serious skill to shoot, but also a lot of HEART to be sensitive to such moments.
Oh yes, he also had a really good balance of formal + candid storytelling shots which we really liked.

Eugene was a comfortable presence. Being easy to talk to but unobtrusive, of knowing when to take charge and when to just slink into the background and do his thing.
One of my friends upon seeing my album, commented that they were so much better than her other friends' which engaged other PGs who were more well-known and more expensive.

Eugene made us feel really at ease and comfortable when he was photographing us during our PWS. It goes without saying that he has an eye for composing photos beautifully. But what made him stood out from the other photographers was his easy-going personality and dedication to honing his craft.
Levin, our AD photographer, was very friendly, and extra observant when it comes to capturing moments that might have been missed if one is not observant and quick enough. .

Eugene was... atypical. Not that I've had many wedding experiences before but one can tell that he's beyond dedicated and passionate about his craft. What really sets him apart is the way he conducts the shoots. He constantly tries to think out of the box to conjure unique shots while keeping the process very enjoyable and candid for the couple.

It's been exactly a year since we engaged Eugene from Bottled Groove Photography and even after a year we still feel compelled to write this review (we've been procrastinating because...life!) because it was one of the best decisions we made.
It was not easy finding a photographer who prioritises storytelling/documenting over posey shots and so we're so glad we stumbled upon Eugene and his portfolio! The photos turned out really well and we still gush over them up till this day.
