“Asian parents seem quite out of touch with their emotions, or at least verbally. But weddings has revealed to me otherwise. Silent preparation through making sure everything is ready. A look held slightly longer. A smile in the distance. And just watching knowing their child will be alright. They just express love differently, through presence and love that isn’t loud. These moments don’t come often, but when they do, its is a clear reflection of how in touch one is with emotions, just in a different way. There isn’t a second take to these moments, and preserving such moments always has a special place in me.”
