BE YOURSELF.
Our photography sessions are often more about you, and less of the dramatic backdrop, the vast landscapes or iconic buildings.
Tell us about yourselves. What you love. What interests or disgusts you. It should be focused on just the two of you.
Be yourself, it makes our jobs easier, and the photos turn out better.
Desiree + Jeremy // Tokyo Japan Destination Pre-wedding
I have always dreamt of a Tokyo pre-wedding but I did not want it to be the ones that are focused too much on the jaw-dropping backdrop which can occasionally take away the focus / attention away from the couple. When I first suggested the idea of a ‘street walk’ styled photoshoot for pre-weddings in Tokyo, the wifey and I decided from the get-go that that would be ideal.
Fast forward a few months later, we were initially disappointed that the day of shoot might be one that we will have to do in sheltered areas because of a rainy day forecast. However, D+J were game enough to brave the rain and head out for the shoot (which we love!) and the results I felt were stunning T_T. We are only as good as our couples for sure.
Li Min + Marklin // Tampines Pre-wedding
"We are only as good as our couples."
It is a line that I would repeat over and over to my couples whenever I felt the praise becoming a little unwarranted. For without a couple's sense of style, their openess/willingness, their unconditional trust, we can only do so much.
For M + LM, we really went all out on this experimental passage as a prequel to their big day.
Elise + Yong // Proposal + Pre-wedding at Raffles Hotel
An email from the States, a call and several messages later, I found myself photographing this two who had flew in from America for an ‘engagement’ / proposal session. Boy did we manage to keep it under wraps.
Grace + Barry // East Coast Park Pre-wedding
You would think that I would be sick and tired of ECP / East Coast Park by now, but I am not. Besides being a cracking place to photograph at, it also stretches for kilometers that there is always some spot to discover. What is better than a cracking spot to shoot at?
A super couple to compliment the place of shoot (of course the impeccable weather helped). From drawing random sand art (ok la not random cause groom B is a massive Batman fan), to fooling around at every turn - it was a memorable pre-wed shoot for me as well.
G + B were amazing throughout the sess and definitely made their pre-wedding, their own.
Jia Min + Ren Kai // Jurong Central Pre-wedding
Had so much fun running around the far west with JM and RK - they even brought me to the skating rink at JCube for my first time (and last if you've read the news).
I think I can count with both hands the amount of times I've been to Jurong, outside of reservist that is lol. But the possibility of just walking around and spotting places to shoot at excited me thoroughly.
Any westies here?
Debbie + Johnson // Bukit Timah Pre-wedding
Another great session with no frills - just drop into a location of choice and walk around. All we needed were general directions, great vibes and perfect weather haha.
Shirlene + Ron // East Coast Park Pre-wedding
It is always very refreshing yet challengingly fun to photograph a fellow creative. In this case, Ron. He is a very popular photographer that focuses on architecture and has a strong following on IG. When he approached me to photograph his pre-wed - I was pleasantly surprised and also humbled. Especially more so when he gave me his complete trust during the session and joined in in all the supposedly crazy suggestions I had!
Jue Rui + Yue Da // Holland Village and Orchard Road Pre-wedding
Our pre-wed sessions are, to quote Forrest Gump, 'a box of chocolates, you'll never know what you are going to get'.
Frankly, it is because everyone is different, and how they'll react to certain situations, are different. All I can promise you is that I'll try to photograph your vibes as a couple.
Faith + Tim // Old Holland Field and Tiong Bahru Estate Pre-wedding
Imaginary interviewer: could you, summarise your pre-wed sessions for me?
Me: a lot of laughing, a lot of weird vibing and experimentation, definitely tiring and probably a lot of fun for the couple.
Also me in my head: this is what happens when you can't think of anything to write T_T
Anyways, here’s Faith and TIm from their pre-wed session!
