Will AI replace wedding photography?
Is this generated by artificial intelligence?
I would usually not ramble on too much if there is nothing at the top of my mind whenever it is time to make a regular post (you know, getting your work out there and stuff) but I was recently asked by Bennett, an industry friend to help complete a survey with the agenda of finding out if Al has impacted the wedding world.
So yes, AI can replace the props you have placed in the photo. Yes, AI can replace the dashing jacket, the fancy head dress or the stunning dress in the photo
AI can place the couple in a stunning location (for no other reason except for pure aesthetics) in a photo.
Today, Al can generate a piano on a beach, a thousand buzzing bees, jaw dropping hot air balloons swarming you, or a dinosaur alongside the wedding couple in that said photo.
Heck, they can even replace a model's perfect pose with your faces.
Today, Al can generate a piano on a beach, a thousand buzzing bees, jaw dropping hot air balloons swarming you, or a dinosaur alongside the wedding couple in that said photo.
And then, it suddenly all made sense
How could AI ever truly replace wedding work?
Because in the world of weddings, it was never just about THAT ONE particular photo.
It is more than that
Artificial Intelligence can never replace the EXPERIENCE
For the couple to experience a wedding's emotional highs, and lows. To smell, to hear, to see, to feel. To witness your plan coming into fruition. Your vendor's work paying off. Your own work, paying off.
You, the couple, is experiencing the day and invoking old AND new memories as it unfolds. The the point is, no matter how advanced Artificial Intelligence becomes in the future, no technology can replace that.
Unless you are into templated stuffs
Definitely not templated and exclusively found only at this wedding
Gillian and Ben smiled, laughed, cried their way throughout the wedding day, and definitely worked on their wedding prep long before the day arrived. It is the experience, the memories that have been built - that will never fade.
Something that cannot be bought.
Something that cannot be reconstructed.
More authentic re-telling of genuine stories
Less performative, staged one, please.
