I spoke on a UK-based podcast for Weddings

I recently reached out to UK photographer Neale James as I am an avid listener of his ‘FujiCast’ podcast as well as the very new ‘1000 Weddings’ podcast. Why the name? He has already photographed 1000 weddings in his career and I am always mindblowned by this fact! I was beyond elated yet frightful when he replied and said he does not mind having me come on as a guest.

The fear I tell you.

Then I instantly asked myself if it was even a good idea to begin with?

What if I embarrassed myself? What if my voice came out squeaky like a mouse? During the entirety of the video call, I was lamenting the fact that I spoke with repeated words and not sure if I was sticking to the topic.

But like how I started getting going with wedding photography, it was a leap of faith. And I think I did ok....?

From the 1000 Weddings website

On the show, some of the topics we spoke candidly about were:

  • How did I get started in this industry

  • Why the name ‘Bottled Groove’ lol

  • Am I introverted? Yes I am.

  • My inspirations when I first started out

  • How do I define success?

  • How do I market my photography

…and many more other topics which Neale asked and I tried to answer to the best of my ability and of course, my impeccable Singaporean accent.

Have a listen below and enjoy! Hopefully? lol.

A super shout out to Neale James for his work in putting this podcast for us wedding photographers together to enjoy and also for readily giving back to the community with his effort and time. Really loved the conversation I had with him and looking forward to meeting him in the future in London or something.

You can check out other guests work, as well as mine, on his 1000 Weddings page too here.
