BE YOURSELF.
Our photography sessions are often more about you, and less of the dramatic backdrop, the vast landscapes or iconic buildings.
Tell us about yourselves. What you love. What interests or disgusts you. It should be focused on just the two of you.
Be yourself, it makes our jobs easier, and the photos turn out better.
Jia Min + Ren Kai // Jurong Central Pre-wedding
Had so much fun running around the far west with JM and RK - they even brought me to the skating rink at JCube for my first time (and last if you've read the news).
I think I can count with both hands the amount of times I've been to Jurong, outside of reservist that is lol. But the possibility of just walking around and spotting places to shoot at excited me thoroughly.
Any westies here?
Debbie + Johnson // Bukit Timah Pre-wedding
Another great session with no frills - just drop into a location of choice and walk around. All we needed were general directions, great vibes and perfect weather haha.
Shirlene + Ron // East Coast Park Pre-wedding
It is always very refreshing yet challengingly fun to photograph a fellow creative. In this case, Ron. He is a very popular photographer that focuses on architecture and has a strong following on IG. When he approached me to photograph his pre-wed - I was pleasantly surprised and also humbled. Especially more so when he gave me his complete trust during the session and joined in in all the supposedly crazy suggestions I had!
Jue Rui + Yue Da // Holland Village and Orchard Road Pre-wedding
Our pre-wed sessions are, to quote Forrest Gump, 'a box of chocolates, you'll never know what you are going to get'.
Frankly, it is because everyone is different, and how they'll react to certain situations, are different. All I can promise you is that I'll try to photograph your vibes as a couple.
Faith + Tim // Old Holland Field and Tiong Bahru Estate Pre-wedding
Imaginary interviewer: could you, summarise your pre-wed sessions for me?
Me: a lot of laughing, a lot of weird vibing and experimentation, definitely tiring and probably a lot of fun for the couple.
Also me in my head: this is what happens when you can't think of anything to write T_T
Anyways, here’s Faith and TIm from their pre-wed session!
Emily + Zhen Ming // Golden Mile Tower & The Projector Pre-wedding
Finally, a chance to photograph at the popular cinema theater The Projector, located within the Golden Mile Tower building. And more appropiate to the occasion, Emily and Zhen Ming are movie connoisseurs that selected ‘Before Sunrise’ as their go-to film to be screened as the backdrop.
Joanna + Noel // Queenstown Pre-wedding
The more I photograph on film, the more I realise I am forever trying to tweak my digital files like film. As much as I try, there is always something unique and different about photographing in film format. I can never do it - replicating film on digital. I have watched countless YouTube editing videos and paid for a thousand presets (okay that's an exaggeration) that proclaim that their edits are like film but you know what I mean. There's that margin of error that results in a flaw - a beautiful flaw.
Cherryl + Joseph // Pasir Panjang Power Station Pre-wedding
Just when I thought my opportunity to shoot at the popular Pasir Panjang Power Station was over, along came C + J who gave me the chance. It’s rather expensive to book the spot these days after 24Owls took over the premise from the Land Authority. And the company has since populated the once secluded and awesome spot with a lot of events stuff. We made the best of what we had though!
Yearam + Jiawei // Universal Studios Singapore Pre-wedding
WHY HELLO THERE! Welcome to the post of my first ever pre-wed session at Universal Studios Singapore, with Y + J hahahahha - better late than never I guess?
Universal Studios Singapore has to be one of the more popular paid venues to have a pre-wedding session besides the National Gallery I guess, and yes, I am always late to the game lol. The mad rain storm that visited us the moment we entered Sentosa did not help proceedings (or did it?) but really, a shoutout to Y + J as well as Levin for braving the rain at times, being so open to our quirky suggestions and laughing ever so loudlly at every point and turn. Hope the photographs did your openness justice!
