Shiya + Gary // Tiong Bahru and Coney Island Pre-wedding

It is unbelievable that almost 9 months has passed since the year started.

It has been a rollercoaster of a ride. It has many downs but also plenty of ups. You must have heard the joyous news yesterday that our government had prioritised weddings and have given our couples and vendors such as ourselves some breathing room in terms of flexibility during planning.

It has not been easy, having to photograph sparse attendees and social distancing photographs - as that is not what a wedding is, a celebration. It has not been easy for couples who had to celebrate their wedding day bounded by rules and restrictions. Not to mention the crazy logistical planning they had to endure. But salute them I will, for braving it and going through with it. It must be something special to remember their wedding day.

Gary (my pws groom) broke the news (govt lifting restrictions) to me when we were in the midst of our shoot yesterday. I wasn't sure how to feel then, as I was already beginning to memorise all the current rules by heart LOL. Now that I have some time to breathe and wind down - I certainly know now that we're on the right track, and couples celebrating their wedding soon will know that I'll be there to capture their "messy" wedding.

Oh yes! Pretty blooms by the wifey @erinflorals for Shiya!
