2022 has been a rollercoaster.

I know I haven’t been writing much here (you can always read more on my IG I blabber there aplenty).

But, 2022 has been a hectic, unforgettable rollercoaster ride.

It was the year we gradually removed our masks during weddings, thus allowing emotions to be fully expressed. It was a year when I could walk around with my couples during their pre-weds without having to mutter muffled instructions. A year where I visited many wonderful new venues, for pre-weds and actual days. A year to see people celebrating twice, thrice as hard at weddings, both the young and the old.

A year where we saw extreme growth in the work of Levin and Dexter, all whilst Erin fortified our backend. A year where we channeled our creativity in the right and proper way and hopefully, you all felt that through the photographs delivered. As a relatively 'young' company (next year being our fourth year in business), we have made mistakes along the way, but we always put our hand up, and learn from it.

Outside of that, progression (or what I like to call, leveling up) is of utmost importance to us, and the minimum of what we require from the team. Next year is no different. Of course, to be fair, Levin and Dexter's rates will be revised to reflect their progress too!

I did learn a lot this year too (even though my rates no change for 2023 lol).

Such as the best-in-class gear doesn't always get you the 'best' photographs *cough* Sony *cough cough*. 'Best', I feel, is always subjective. That is why I kinda gave up on submitting for Rangefinder this year. Also, towards the year's end, I was also kinda physically and creatively burnt out. It was the back-to-back weddings that were originally short hour bookings but became full-blown weddings because restrictions were lifted mid-year. Of course, it wasn't anyone's fault. In fact, it was because I was too ambitious. Personally, nothing against other creatives who take back-to-back jobs (cause they strong I weak haha), but they are really not for me. Personally, I would rather pour my heart and soul, solely into one single wedding on the weekend.

All in all, in 2023, I'll find more time for my family, my friends and myself, so that I can come back to produce better work for you.

Thank you, 2022, see ya 2023.
