Sherilyn + Desmond // Min Jiang at Dempsey Wedding

It's no coincidence that the month of October just flew by in an instant and before you know it, it's January 2022. What seemed to be yet another slow year of restrictions and somewhat half measures is almost done, and we're embracing yet another "happy new year" in a couple of months.

While Covid does not seem to be slowing down, weddings are still in full flow. We still get puzzled looks whenever we reject guests and even the occasional JP who requests handphone photographs (we do get instant gratification, trust us). Because of our precarious situation, we would always reject politely, at least for now. We run a very high risk of missing out on photographing weddings and it is not just a financial burden but also - think about the couple who's having the wedding this week and not able to have their photographer do his/her job because he/she has to serve a stay home notice. We hardly even run around outside these days outside of work. We are so thankful that our wedding community is similar-minded and have made measures to ensure that we always have one another's backs and be ready to be "activated" at a minute's notice in case *bleep* happens.

But at times we get awesome, understanding couples like Sherilyn and Desmond who would ensure that we get protected and also help to inform their bridal party (and sometimes the venue coordinators or helper) to help out with the handphone photos. It's the little things that help us fulfil our task the best we can. That said, Sherilyn and Desmond is another couple that I'll miss goofing around with now that their photos are done 😭 (creepy much?).
